NOTEBOOK: Hogs scrimmage
The Arkansas Razorbacks practiced for two-and-a-half hours and ran 161 plays Saturday morning in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for the first major scrimmage of the spring.
The offense came out hot. Sophomore quarterback Ryan Mallett was 7-of-7 for 149 yards and a 27-yard touchdown to sophomore receiverJarius Wright. The next play, sophomore running back Mitchell Bailey broke some tackles, split the safeties and continued on for an 80-yard touchdown run. Four plays later, freshman gunslinger Tyler Wilson hit senior receiver London Crawford for a 67-yard touchdown. Three plays later, Mallett found Wright again, this time for 58 yards. Indeed, there were plenty of fireworks early. Come inside for the complete report.
