Warhawk GameDay

ULM heads south for their final non-conference game of the 2012 season, facing off against the Tulane Green Wave.  While the Green Wave have struggled early on this season, they own a 14-0 record against teams outside LSU in the state, and a head-to-head 2-0 lead over ULM.  First year Head Coach Curtis Johnson, former colleague at Miami with ULM Head Coach Todd Berry, is still looking for his first win.

What to watch for:

  • The Warhawks will sport #18 stickers on their helmet in honor of injured Tulane player Devon Walker.
  • Who will be taking snaps for Tulane - Starter Ryan Griffin has been out with a shoulder injury, last week's starter Devin Powell has practiced, but has a toe injury, former baseball standout-turned quarterback DJ Ponder has taken some practice snaps, but has no game experience since high school.
  • The Green Wave have not scored in their last 14 offensive possessions, dating back to their 4th quarter touchdown in week two versus Tulsa.
  • Tulane has scored just six first half points this season, and none in the third quarter.
  • Green Wave receiver Ryan Grant has caught a pass in 11 straight games, dating back to 2010.

Spread:

Odds makers put the Warhawks as 17.5-18 point favorites. This is the first time ULM has been favored this season.
