Sun Belt picks week 4

Conference action started last week with South Alabama and Arkansas State jumping out to 1-0 records.  No conference action in week four, however games against CUSA, SEC, and Big 12 fill the slate.   Here's our picks for week four:

Away Home

Jacksonville State

Georgia State Panthers

The Jacksonville State Gamecocks were long rumored to be a Sun Belt expansion possibility, but have been passed over or tabled for acceptance.  After the first three weeks JSU is 3-0 and Georgia State is 0-3.  JSU makes a statement for their acceptance in the league with a win in the Georgia Dome over the Panthers.

Arkansas State Red Wolves

Memphis fell last week to former conference member MTSU, this week they fall to current Sun Belt member Arkansas State.
Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks Baylor Baylor got all they could handle last year when they traveled to Monroe to face the Warhawks.  This season the Bears are a silent favorite to capture the Big 12 crown.  This week they also capture the win, as they edge out ULM.

Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns

The Ragin Cajuns put it to in-state foe Nicholls State last week, while the Zips did all they could to win at the Big House versus  Michigan.  Akron Head Coach Terry Bowden will get his team to rebound this week, but they will still fall to Louisiana-Lafayette.

Texas State Bobcats

Texas Tech Texas State has an all offense, low defense team.  It's worked well for them though, as they hold a 2-0 record.  The Red Raiders are looking to close out their non-conference slate with a perfect 4-0 record.  It'll be a shoot out, but the home team wins.
Troy Trojans Mississippi State Both teams suffered a tough nationally televised loss last week.  The Trojans will put up some big numbers here, but the Bulldog defense makes one big stop to capture the win.
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers WKU lost to FBS new comer South Alabama last week, but will roll this week over the Morgan St Bears.

Future members - Appalachian State travels to Elon, Idaho heads to Washington State, and New Mexico State takes on UCLA on the road.
