Bayou Jamb set to invade Malone Stadium

The fifth annual Bayou Jamb is set to invade Malone Stadium on the campus of ULM on Saturday, August 28. This year the annual high school kick off event will host three games and feature several D-1 prospects. Regardless of the player's rankings there are always a few surprise performances.
The games will begin at 4pm with 1A Oak Grove taking on 2A Jonesboro-Hodge. Last season's game between these two Tigers saw current ULM Warhawk Rob'Donovan Lewis break a 50-yard around end scamper. In the end it was the Oak Grove Tigers that prevailed with a 25-14 win.

Next the Rivals.com nationally ranked West Monroe Rebels taking on the Rayville Hornets. The Rebels enter the contest as the #7 nationally in the Rivals 100, but should not be considered easy favorites in the contest. Rayville has a solid defensive presence with 3-Star DT Gerrand Johnson, a ULM commit, and DE/LB Quinton Griffin. The duo will have their hands full though with a pair of standouts in Tyler Cain and Paul Turner, a 3-Star LSU commitment.
Closing out the night will be the defending 4A state champion Neville Tiger taking on district rival Bastrop. The Tigers lost MVP Taylor Burch after graduation, but the defense looks to carry them this season as they have 3-Star defensive tackle Demarcus Hodge, an Arkansas commitment, and LB/DB Andrew Jackson. Jackson will look to contain Ram receiver DeAndre Seller.
