After ending the 2012 season with three touch downs, Matthew Eaton has already matched that total while doubling his receiving yards with 319 through the first five games of the season. These numbers and his 3.4 GPA and 21 ACT have landed him a pair of offers, most recently from the ULM Warhawks.

"The offer that coach (Mario) Price called me about was really a complete shock," the 6'5" lanky receiver said. "I really didn't think they would want me, but in talking with Coach Price and the other coaches, I think I would be a good fit in their offense."
Eaton had a chance to meet the ULM coaching staff earlier this season, making his way up from Pascagoula, Miss. to northern Louisiana for the home opener against Grambling State.
"The atmosphere was live," he told WarhawkReport.com. "The facilities were a lot better than I thought they would be, and I thought the weight room was really nice and was really big."
The ULM visit was his first unofficial visit, but not his first trip to a college campus. Over the summer he camped with Southern Miss. and Navy, with the Midshipmen extending his first offer. Additional recruiting interest has come from Mississippi State and Louisiana-Lafayette, but no college stands out much to him now, since his current focus is solely on his senior season.
"This season is not going as well as I want it to go," Eaton said. "I just have to go with the game plan and do what's needed for us to keep winning games. We have a lot of talent on offense, so I haven't gotten in the end zone as much as I would like. This summer though I competed with the best players in the nation, so the offers will come. I just need to stay focused on the season and keep working hard and I'll be blessed with the right fit."
