Coach Viator and his staff came into last spring without much experience with the ULM players. There was an adjustment period where the coaches and players were getting used to each other and the schemes.

Now, with a full season of play and offseason of workouts under their belt, the Warhawks are ready to show their improvement in the annual Spring Game tomorrow afternoon.

While the first spring was spent adjusting, this spring the coaches have been able to really narrow down and improve their game instead of worrying about installing an offense.

Offensive Coordinator Matt Kubik spoke about the difference between first year and second-year spring practices: "The main advantage is we've got a full year under our belt. In the second spring practice of a new offense, [the players] are more familiar. You don't see as many mental busts and you can really focus on the technique of what you're trying to do."

Coming off of a 4-8 season, there are some things the Warhawks needed to improve on, along with some key players needing to be replaced. Here are 3 things to look for as ULM wraps up their spring practice season in the spring game, which will take place Saturday April 8th at 1 P.m. and will be offense vs. defense.
