True Freshmen Earn Playing Time
College football players were not allowed to play as True Freshmen until the 1972 season. While it used to be rare that a player could join a team and play right out of high school, that practice is becoming more common across the NCAA. ULM has two True Freshmen that are seeing significant playing time already this season: Running Back Duke Carter IV and Tight End Kyle Nevels.
