ULM to open Sun Belt Play

After falling in their past three games, the Warhawks now open the Sun Belt Conference portion of their schedule as they travel to Denton, Tx. to face North Texas. The Mean Green are riding a four game home winning streak, and have won the last four meetings against ULM.
Picked in the pre season polls to win the Sun Belt Conference Western Division, the Mean Green this season are led by a duo of all-conference selections Josh White and Eric Tramiel. Both are averaging double figures in scoring, having done so in six of the eight games played by North Texas.

ULM enters the contest on a losing skid, having dropped three straight games, including a blow-out at Alabama last week 74-46. The game will also mark the first of three games in the holiday road swing. Through their first eight games, the Warhawks have been unable to handle the ball, averaging 19.25 turnovers per game, while managing to force just an average of 14.
Despite their struggles as a team, senior Tony Hooper and junior Lawrence Gilbert have taken the offense into their hands, as both are averaging 12ppg. On the boards, juco transfer Tommie Sykes is leading the team with 41 total.
Tip off from the Super Pit is scheduled for 3pm, play-by-play featuring Greg Gullius can be heard on LA105.3, or at www.ULMWarhawks.com.
