It was a role reversal for ULM last week when
it routed Texas Southern 58-0.

The step down in competition was a
welcomed win after the Warhawks lost 59-20 Week
1 at Texas. ULM dominated the game from
the outset, had two 100-yard rushers (Frank Goodin and
Isaiah Newsome) and easily routed the FCS school.
"I think it's important to win the games
we're supposed to win," ULM coach Charlie
Weatherbie said following the game. "It
was important to win this football game. We won
it in a way we needed to win it. I'm excited
about our defense holding them to a zero."
ULM is breaking in a new starting
quarterback, junior
Trey Revell, who set a
school record by completing 12 straight passes.
His maturation under center is going to be a key
to the Warhawks success, and he'll get a much
stiffer test this week at Arizona State.
However, having already played at Texas,
it won't be such an intimidating situation.
Season Recap:
Texas 59, ULM 20-Texas jumped out to a 38-10
lead and was never threatened in the season
opener. Three turnovers didn't help the
Warhawks' cause, but the defense's three
turnovers of their own helped ULM's cause.
Kicker Radi Jabour connected on all four
attempts, two PATs and two field goal.
ULM 58, Texas Southern 0-ULM scored 21 points
in the first and second quarters and easily
evened its record with an easy victory over
Texas Southern.Junior QB Trey Revell set a school record
with 12 consecutive completions against Texas
Southern. His 17-of-19 passing broke Doug
Pederson's completion percentage record set in
1990.
