11 goals for the ULM Warhawk Women's Soccer team highlight a quick 2-0 start for the pre-season third ranked Sun Belt Conference team.
The Warhawks opened with a dominating 9-0 win at home against UAPB, with Sara Navarro and Mara Grutkamp each finding the back of the net twice in the season opener. Goalies Jennifer Handy and Emerson Roberts split time, with neither recording a save.
In the team's first road contest, the Warhawks posted book-end goals with Kai Douglas connecting in the 15-minute mark of the first half, giving ULM a 1-0 lead at the intermission. Bernadett Stefan collected her first goal of the season in the 74th minute mark to close out the 2-0 victory.
Defensively, the Warhawks allowed just three shots in the contest with just one being on-goal.
The Warhawks now return home to open a three-game homestand against Grambling State, Nicholls, and McNeese beginning on Thursday, Sunday, and Thursday respectively.
