Moore coming to Monroe

After much speculation, Bullard, Texas star Charlie Moore officially committed to the Warhawks of ULM. On what was his 18th birthday, Charlie Moore contacted the coaches of ULM to give his word that Monroe was the place for him to continue his academic and athletic careers, what he says is his first adult decision with a chuckle.
"I knew I was going to ULM all summer long, it's just a big decision and I wanted to check out all of my options," Moore said of his decision to commit to ULM.

This season Charlie will look to continue to add to his already impressive resume having gained awards at quarterback (named 14-3A Offensive Co-MVP), safety (Honorable Mention TSWA 3A All-State), and in baseball having been named all-state. In addition to his gridiron accomplishments, he also attended the state track meet in the triple jump, and earned all district and all east Texas honors in basketball.
At the next level, Charlie doesn't have a preference of what position he plays. "When I talked with Coach (Charlie) Weatherbie, he said that I would start off as a QB and then adjust from there probably to safety, and lastly to receiver."
Bullard Head Coach Jim Taylor said, "He's eager to play, but his only desire is to play at the next level. One of his strongest points is that he doesn't think about himself, just where he can play and help the team."
Moore had received the interest of Rice and Baylor, prior to his commitment to the Warhawks.
