OP Walker home to great back

New Orleans is home to Tyrone Duplessis, a versatile running back currently playing at OP Walker High. The 5' 6", 180 pound back is rated as a 3-star player by Rivals.com.
Despite his great skills running the ball from the back field; something he credits solely to his front five offensive line men, Tyrone also plays the role of the team's special teams. "Out of 48 kickoffs last season, he had 37 touchbacks, and punted for about a 41 yard average," OP Walker head coach Skip Lamont said of Duplessis.

With all of his success on the field, Tyrone is still able to hold a 2.7 GPA and has already scored a 19 on his first ACT attempt. "He's a good character kid that's easy to coach," Lamont said. Tyrone credits it to the great leadership he has around him on and off the field.
Over the summer, Duplessis has attended several camps, including the Nike camp held in Baton Rouge, Alabama, Houston, and ULM.
Currently Tyrone has drawn the interest of Oklahoma and Southern Miss, while getting offers from BYU, North Carolina, La. Tech, and ULM.
