Warhawks fall in non-conference finale

A career high five TD from QB Payton Thorne paced the Auburn Tigers to a 48 - 14 win on Saturday in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn (4-6, 1-5) passed for over 300 yards, the most surrendered this season by the Warhawk secondary. Thorne complete 22/32 for 286, connecting with Cam Coleman for three of the passing scores.

The Tiger defense held the usually potent ULM rushing attack in, check with the team picking up 54 yards, with 60 yards coming from freshman Ahmad Hardy. Hardy also had a third quarter ULM score, finding the endzone mid-way through the third quarter.

Late fourth quarter time saw Jonathan Bibbs haul in his first career reception and TD from General Booty for the game's final score.

ULM (5-5, 3-3) defense was led by Wydett Williams with 13 tackles and recorded a tackle for loss and QBH. Linebacker Carl Glass, Jr. managed to force and recover a fumble, marking the first turnover for the Warhawks since the South Alabama game.

The Warhawks now hit the road for a much-anticipated game at Arkansas State (5-4, 3-2). Kickoff for the ESPN+ game is set for 2pm.
