WBB picks up first SBC win

The third 30 point game by guard Daisha Bradford paced the ULM Warhawk women's basketball program to their first Sun Belt Conference victory of the 2023-24 season 82 - 65 over Georgia State.



ULM (9-4, 1-1) surrendered an early 4-0 run by the Panthers in the game inside the GSU Convocation Center in Atlanta, Ga. Sania Wells connected on back-to-back three-pointers in the opening period to take the lead and never looked back from that point on.

The Warhawks stayed hot from beyond the arc, shooting 12-24 (50%) in the contest. Adding to this total was a 7-10 performance by Bradford.

Georgia State (7-5, 1-1) led the contest just 4:38 before surrendering the lead. Three panthers found themselves with double-digit scoring - Deasia Merrill (19), Crystal Henderson (16), and Mikyla Tolivert (10).

ULM continues on the Georgia road trip, as they travel to Statesboro for a Saturday 1pm, ct tip-off. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
